Kingcason Textile Group was recently featured in Fibre2Fashion’s Industry Speak interview series, where our International Marketing Manager, Kylin Zhang, shared insights into Kingcason’s China–Egypt manufacturing strategy and the changing priorities of global textile sourcing.
As international buyers place greater emphasis on supply-chain flexibility, quality consistency, delivery reliability and regional manufacturing capabilities, Kingcason is continuing to strengthen a manufacturing network that combines the advantages of China’s mature textile ecosystem with expanding production capabilities in Egypt.

Why Kingcason Is Building a China–Egypt Manufacturing Network
Global textile sourcing is becoming increasingly diversified.
While cost and production capacity remain important considerations, buyers today are also evaluating how suppliers can respond to changing logistics conditions, raw-material costs, delivery requirements and regional market needs.
For Kingcason, developing manufacturing capabilities in both China and Egypt is not about replacing one production base with another.
Instead, the objective is to combine the strengths of both locations and create a more flexible and resilient textile supply network.
China remains an important foundation of Kingcason’s manufacturing system, particularly for product development, technical support, specialised processing and supply-chain coordination.
Its mature textile ecosystem provides access to yarn suppliers, knitting and weaving facilities, dyeing, printing, finishing, packaging and logistics services within established industrial clusters.
Egypt, meanwhile, provides Kingcason with an additional regional manufacturing base with strategic access to North Africa, the Middle East and Mediterranean markets.
By developing these two manufacturing locations together, Kingcason aims to provide international buyers with more production options while maintaining common technical and quality standards.
Our Egypt Manufacturing Base
Kingcason’s Egypt factory is located in West Qantara Industrial City in Ismailia, near the Suez Canal.
As part of our regional manufacturing expansion, the Egypt operation supports Kingcason’s long-term strategy in fleece, plush fabrics and finished blankets. More information about our Egypt manufacturing base, local operations and company development is available on the Golden Honors website.
The approximately 60,000-square-metre manufacturing project is being developed around Kingcason’s core fleece, plush fabric and finished blanket business.
Planned production capabilities include weaving, dyeing, printing and finishing processes.
The factory primarily focuses on product categories in which Kingcason already has extensive manufacturing experience, including:
- Faux fur fabrics
- Faux rabbit fur fabrics
- High-weight faux fur
- Flannel fleece fabric
- Coral fleece fabric
- Sherpa fleece fabric
- Other fleece and plush constructions
- Finished blankets
These fabrics are widely used in blankets, home textiles, apparel, toys and other textile applications.
Rather than immediately expanding into a wide range of unrelated textile categories, Kingcason’s Egypt manufacturing strategy focuses first on transferring established production knowledge, technical requirements and quality-control standards from China to Egypt.
China Remains Central to Product Development
China will continue to play an important role within Kingcason’s manufacturing network.
Its mature textile supply chain makes it particularly suitable for developing new fabrics, testing constructions, coordinating different finishing processes and solving technical challenges during product development.
New products can first be developed, sampled and standardised with the support of Kingcason’s China operations.
Once production specifications and technical standards are established, these requirements can then be transferred to the Egypt manufacturing base when appropriate.
This allows Kingcason to combine China’s product-development capabilities with additional regional manufacturing capacity in Egypt.
For international buyers, the objective is simple: changing the manufacturing location should not mean changing the agreed product standard.
Maintaining Consistent Quality Across Two Manufacturing Bases
Operating manufacturing facilities in different countries creates opportunities, but it also creates an important challenge: quality consistency.
For fleece and plush fabrics, buyers evaluate far more than the basic fabric composition.
Product specifications may include GSM, usable width, colour consistency, hand feel, pile appearance, dimensional stability and finishing performance.
A repeat order should remain consistent even when production takes place at a different manufacturing location.
For this reason, Kingcason is working to establish common technical specifications, production standards and quality-control procedures across its China–Egypt manufacturing network.
The machinery, production teams and factory locations may be different, but the agreed product specification should remain the same.
What Does the China–Egypt Model Mean for Textile Buyers?
For international textile buyers, one of the biggest advantages of a multi-location manufacturing network is flexibility.
Depending on the product specification, technical complexity, destination market and production requirements, Kingcason can evaluate which manufacturing base is more suitable for each order.
This model can provide buyers with several potential advantages:
- Greater supply-chain diversification
- Additional regional manufacturing options
- Better distribution of production risk
- Access to China’s mature textile development ecosystem
- Additional manufacturing capacity in Egypt
- More flexibility when serving different destination markets
However, having factories in multiple countries alone does not automatically create value.
The real advantage comes when different manufacturing locations operate as parts of the same production and quality-management system.
From a Single Factory to a Manufacturing Network
One of the key ideas discussed in the Fibre2Fashion interview is that the way textile buyers evaluate suppliers is changing.
Traditionally, buyers might focus heavily on factory size, machinery and production capacity.
These factors remain important, but international sourcing decisions are increasingly influenced by a supplier’s ability to coordinate production, maintain consistent quality and respond to changing market conditions across different locations.
Kingcason therefore sees its China and Egypt operations not as separate manufacturing businesses, but as parts of a broader textile supply network.
China will continue to support product development, technical expertise, supplier coordination and specialised textile processing, while Egypt will continue developing as a regional manufacturing base for Kingcason’s core fleece, plush fabric and blanket categories.
Our long-term objective is not simply to operate more factories.
It is to build a manufacturing network where product development, production, purchasing and quality control can work together across different locations.
Building a More Resilient Textile Supply Chain
The future of textile sourcing is unlikely to depend entirely on one manufacturing country.
Instead, established textile manufacturing centres and emerging regional production bases are likely to become increasingly interconnected.
For Kingcason, the China–Egypt manufacturing strategy reflects this direction.
By combining manufacturing experience, product development capabilities, regional production flexibility and consistent quality-control standards, we aim to provide international textile buyers with a more reliable and adaptable sourcing solution.
As global sourcing continues to evolve, the question buyers ask may gradually change from:
“How large is your factory?”
to:
“How reliable is your manufacturing network?”
For Kingcason, building that reliable manufacturing network is the long-term goal behind our China–Egypt strategy.
